Wolves Women made an early exit from the FA Cup after being beaten by a determined Radcliffe Olympic side.
Wolves dominated the early play, but Radcliffe took advantage in the 16th minute. A corner resulted in a goalmouth scramble, which saw the visitors score an early goal.
Heather Clarkson's shot on target at the other end was stopped by the keeper before Radcliffe were on the attack again, scoring their second on 23 minutes and sending them in 2-0 up at half-time.
Wolves were forced to substitute keeper Natalie Hall at the break after an earlier injury, and striker Hannah Woodford took over in goal.
Wolves came out fighting and forced a penalty in the 49th minute, which Hayley Everiss converted to claw a goal back.
The home side continued to press, but were unfortunate on 72 minutes when Radcliffe Olympic took advantage of a poor clearance from the keeper to make it 3-1.
It was an up-hill struggle for Wolves but they continued to battle, with Nicole Ledgister and Anne Johnson both coming close, but the visitors held out and take their place in the next round.
Next Sunday 4th November Wolves are back in league action when they play host to Derby County Ladies. The game will be played at Goodrich Sports Stadium, Stafford Road, Forhouses, Wolverhampton, with a 2.30 pm kick-off.
