Wolves Aid - An Introduction

Wolves Aid has been helping the city since 1993.
Most funding is geared towards assisting organisations that support the positive development of community life through encouraging social inclusion amongst the disadvantaged and disabled, as well as promoting family life and the positive development of children within the city.
Funding was initially provided by former Wolves owner Sir Jack Hayward and boosted by bequests, player donations and local collections. Moving forward, Wolves Aid will continue to be funded by local donations as well as significant support from The Morgan Foundation - a charity set up by current Wolves chairman Steve Morgan to assist charities and community groups in the West Cheshire, North Wales, Merseyside and North Shropshire areas.
EXAMPLES OF WHO WE HAVE HELPED
Penn Hall Special Needs School
Abseil course for children's adventure playground
A specialist requirement aimed at improving the lives of children with special needs. The course was built in memory of Scott Lloyd, a former pupil of the school and avid Wolves fan.

Grant: £5,000
Powerpleas
Children's specialist wheelchair provider
Powerpleas is a Wolverhampton charity providing specially adapted wheelchairs for local youngsters with severe disabilities.
Over the last decade, Wolves Aid and Powerpleas have been able to revolutionise the lives of more than ten young children. The latest recipient is ten year old Jack Smith, a Wolves season ticket holder from Telford who was paralysed in a road traffic accident three years ago. Much of the money provided through Wolves Aid was donated by the club's players and through a matchday collection organised by Tettenhall Rotary Club.
Grant: £2,500
