Chief executive Jez Moxey has reacted with surprise to weekend press reports that Michael Kightly could be on the move to a Premier League club.

The winger signed from Grays Athletic in January last year and the Essex based club's chairman, Mick Woodward, has claimed that Kights could move on to a Premier League club over the summer months.

Jez said: "I was very surprised by Mick Woodward's comments. We've received no enquiries or bids for Michael Kightly.

"Our chairman, Steve Morgan, went on the record at the end of April with a clear and unequivocal message: 'Our best young players are not for sale'.

"We've got an exciting young team at Molineux and we are building something special. Michael wants to be a part of that.

"We will not allow this kind of rumour and speculation to disrupt our plans."
