Kevin Foley admitted that he and his team-mates were devastated in the dressing room after losing out on a goal difference of just one to Watford in the chase for a play-off place.

But the defender, who has seen action in all but one game since his move from Luton Town last August, believes that Wolves are a young side that has the potential to make the step up next year.

He said: "We were all absolutely devastated at the end. For a minute or two, just after I'd come off, the crowd began to shout and we thought something had happened to our advantage at Blackpool.

"We didn't know whether to attack in search of more goals or to defend Seyi's one. But it wasn't to be, Watford hung on for a draw and got into the play-offs ahead of us on goal difference which makes it even harder to take

"But I really believe that we will grow into an even stronger side and that we will get better and better.

"Certainly we are all ambitious and even now I'm looking forward to next season and thinking 'let's go one better than the play-offs'."

Of his first season at Molineux, the defender added: "I've honestly enjoyed every minute of it.

"This is such a big club and my aim is to play for it at the top - in the Premier League. We have a young side that is ambitious and hungry and I love being a part of it."
