Morgan Est Competition Comes To End
The final whistle is about to sound as Morgan Est's school's competition - 'Kick off Your Engineering Career' - draws to a close. But first we need your help.
Over the last few weeks fans have been shown three poster designs, drawn by three local schools: The Orchard Centre, Penn Hall and The Mid Point Centre. Now it's your chance to vote for your favourite. Email the name of your winning school to: competitions@wolves.co.uk. And one lucky fan will be drawn at random to win next season's new home shirt.
It was in March this year when Morgan Est, the UK's leading provider of infrastructure services, unveiled what is believed to be the largest advert British football has ever seen. It is situated between the Jack Harris and Billy Wright stands. The aim of the campaign was to get children and young adults interested in engineering as a career choice. The three local schools were all asked to express through art their interpretations of how they believe engineering works, looking at how water reaches taps, buildings are erected and how we get gas and electricity.
It specifically focused on how all of this would look if Wolves were to host the next World Cup in 2010. Once the winning school has been chosen, their work will be made up into a poster and displayed at Morgan Est sites around the UK. Seyi Olofinjana, who has a BTEC in Chemical Engineering and who is currently studying for an MA in Oil and Gas engineering, is the Official Ambassador for the campaign.
