Sylvan Ebanks-Blake took his tally of Wolves goals to 11 following his close range effort against Cardiff last night.

But delighted that he was to score in front of the Molineux supporters again, to the striker the result that kept the club's play-off hopes alive was what really mattered.

He said; "It was brilliant to score but it was more important to win the game. It was a must-win and we won quite comfortably and we look to Saturday now.

"We can take a lot from the Cardiff game and hopefully do the same against Coventry. It wasn't the best spectacle but we were the better team and we took our chances when they came.

"We could probably have had a few more as well, so we're delighted."

On the return to the starting line-up of Michael Kightly, Sylvan added: "'Kights' has a massive heart and he's a big player. It's good to have him back in the fold - we need our big players at this time of the year so we're delighted to have him back.

"Can he be the difference to get us into the play-offs? Definitely - with him and Jarvo we've arguably got two of the best wingers in the league so there's no doubt he can make a difference.

"But the pressure's not solely on 'Kites' because he hasn't played a lot of football this year.

"We've got people waiting in the wings ready such as Stephen Ward. We've got a massive squad and that's going to count in the next few games and for the rest of the season.

"It was difficult to come back from Saturday and it can weigh heavily on young minds but we're together and we showed that against Cardiff.

"We picked up and won comfortably and we need to do the same on Saturday."

Explaining why he called team-mates in to celebrate Andy Keogh's goal, he said: "It was all about team spirit. It's been highlighted that we're a young team and I think it's important we all stick together on and off the pitch.

"That just showed the camaraderie between us on the pitch. We need to be together to win these next two games to get to the play-offs.

"Whoever scores, whoever assists - we do it together, like I've said before - we win and we lose together and we score and supply together.

"It's part of the team-bonding and to show everyone we're together and very much fighting for each other."
