Wolves kept up the pressure for a place in the play-offs with a comfortable 3-0 win over Cardiff.

Boss Mick McCarthy hopes the nerves will now start jangling amongst the teams Wolves are chasing for a place in the top six.

"There will be some nerves now and it's there for someone to throw it away.

"We are still in with a chance. It might be a bit more remote than a couple of weeks ago but we want to still be involved going into the Plymouth game.

"It wasn't the best performance and Wayne made three or four great saves. But we got the finishes and that made the difference.

"I love this bunch of lads and what they do for the club. They might not play well every week but they've got spirit and heart.

"And they are going to get better with the experience they have gained last season and this.

"I'm really excited by them."
