The Right Time
Karl Henry has labelled the winning goal on Saturday as his most important for Wolves and insists the team are hitting form at the right time.
The midfielder experienced agony before ecstasy as Wolves first conceded an equaliser before getting the winner in injury time at Charlton.
Karl said: "I was ecstatic, especially the way it all panned out at the end with them just getting the equaliser.
"At 2-1 up we were thinking we just had to stay solid. We were hanging on and we knew they were going to put pressure on us.
"Once they equalised, we thought that was it - it was a sickener for us, so to say I was delighted to get the winner was an understatement.
"They pushed everyone forward and left two at the back. They left the back door open and I saw an opportunity and grabbed the winner.
"It's possibly my most important goal for Wolves. I remember getting the winner at Luton away last season and we were on a great run at the time.
"We're on a similar run now - we're playing well, it's coming towards the end of the season and we want to keep it going.
"We seem to be hitting form at the right time. We've always believed in ourselves all season even though things haven't always gone our way.
"The manager and the coaches have been hammering it into us that we're a good enough side to get promotion.
"Saturday's performance showed it. In our last home game against QPR we played really well and were unlucky not to win.
"We want to keep sneaking up because we don't want too many people talking about us.
"Throughout the season there's been so much talk of different teams definitely going to be promoted and so many have faltered.
"We're just going to let our football do our talking and take each game as it comes and hopefully we'll be in there come the last game of the season."
The skipper also had words of praise for striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (pictured) who bagged another two goals at the Valley.
"He's a great player for us. The manager brought him in and he really has come up trumps.
"Goals are like gold dust, especially in this division where games are so tight, but he's been full of them and he's been the difference in quite a few games for us now.
He's banging in the goals and he's been a great asset to us.
"At £1.5m, he's probably paid that back already. It's Asda price - an absolute bargain, a snip because he's been different class."
