Wolves Win Last Gasp Thriller
Boss Mick McCarthy reflected on a 5 goal thriller, which saw Wolves net all 3 points and move into the play off places.
"It was a great game for the public. I thought we were excellent in the first half. You can see by the reaction of the players and the bench what it means to everyone.
"Maybe I'm biased but I thought we were good enough to win it without having to nick it.
"However, winning in the last minute can cover a mulitude of sins and in spells our defending wasn't up to scratch. But at the end of the day it was a great finish and we've come away with the 3 points."
Asked about Sylan Ebanks Blake's 2 goals, which included a superb individual effort, Mick said: "In the past goals have been our achilles heal. We've had a good defensive record but at times we've not put our chances away. Sylan's second goal was fantastic and a real contender for goal of the season.
"I'm also pleased for Karl Henry who is often our unsung hero. He's our sitter who wins and passes the ball but he steamed into their penalty area for the winner."
Wolves now have 2 weeks without any games before they face a number of fellow play off contenders.
Mick said: "I'd rather play the teams around us and it was a great morale booster for us today. But we're not going to get carried away with today's result. It's another 3 points in the bag. We have a break now and a few days off and it's nice to go into that with break with a good win under our belts."
