We Were A Shambles
Karl Henry is pleased that Tuesday evening's game against Scunthorpe comes so soon after a performance at Cardiff that he describes as a 'shambles'.
The midfielder is aware that League points are priceless and that they need to be picked up sooner rather than later if Wolves are to get back into the top six.
On the disastrous opening at Ninian Park, he said: "With what happened in the first 10 minutes we didn't give ourselves a chance.
"We just started terribly and before we got going we were 2-0 down.
"There was a real chance to progress in the competition and so it's massively disappointing.
"The way we've lost the game we can understand why the supporters are disappointed.
"It was a shambles, we were a shambles as a team and have got to take responsibility for that.
"There's no point dwelling on it but we know we can't go out and play like that, we'd get beaten every week.
"I don't think it's about desire because we all show desire and we all want to wear the shirt.
"We heard the supporters saying we're not fit to wear the shirt and that hurts.
"We all want to play for this club and we all want to get promoted and to do that we know we've all got to do better and show more quality.
"It's not just the determination, it's the mental side of things as well.
"In a way it's good we've got a game so quickly tomorrow.
"It's not going to put things right but we're still in there in the league with something to fight for.
"We're not far off it and just need to make sure we start picking up points and fast."
