Neill Collins has been called up into the Scotland B squad for a friendly against the Republic of Ireland.

The game takes place at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie next Tuesday, 20 November 2007, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Neill has been capped seven times at under 21 level by his country but this is his first time with the B squad.

And the chances are that there will be some familiar faces in opposition for the game as Stephen Ward and Kevin Foley have already been named in the Irish squad although Kevin is currently struggling to shake off an ankle injury.

Neill says: "It would be great to come up against the boys up at Airdrie but, to be honest, I'm just really pleased to be involved."
