After taking just a point from the game with Bristol City, a disappointed Stephen Ward reflected on the two that were lost in the battle against the West Country side.

The Irish international felt that Wolves should have had the game sewn up by half-time but they only had Jay Bothroyd's strike to show for their efforts

He said: "Bristol came into it a lot more after the break but I still felt that we had done enough to win it.

"To be fair, they are a good footballing side but we had enough possession and chances before half-time to have been out of sight.

"I had a great chance and thought I was in but a defender got in a last ditch block.

"It's disappointing to only get a point but at least we haven't lost. We'll go to Southampton on Tuesday in a positive frame of mind looking to get a good result there."
