To celebrate 50-years since his retirement from the game, former Wolves goalkeeping legend Bert Williams was on hand to check out the newly refurbished lounge bearing his name which opened its doors for the first time last weekend.

Joined by current shot-stoppers Matt Murray and Wayne Hennessey, the ex-England international gave the new-look lounge the thumbs up where, incidentally, he is a seasonal member himself.

 "I have to say it is barely recognisable from last season; it looks tremendous," Williams said. "It is a terrific honour for a fantastic club like Wolves to name this lounge after me.  It's very humbling."

The Shifnal based legend admits he has high hopes for his former side this season:

"I thought we did really well last season and, with the addition some new players, I see no reason why we can't do even better this year.  Mick [McCarthy] has done a brilliant job so far, I would love him to get this club back in top division where it belongs," he said.
