Wolves 4 (Olofinjana 24, Kightly 32, McAuley og 53, Keogh-pen 85)

so  A sparkling performance from Wolves saw them come from a goal down at Leicester to achieve their biggest win of the season and confirm a place in the play-offs where they will meet arch rivals West Bromwich Albion.

An unchanged Wolves team kicked-off defending the end of the Walkers Stadium that housed just over three thousand of their supporters.

But the Molineux men got off to the worst possible start by conceding a goal inside the first three minutes. Nils-Eric Johansson crossed from the left and Iain Hume ran in to volley past Matt Murray.

It took a last ditch tackle by City skipper Patrick Kisnorbo to prevent Andy Keogh from levelling the scores two minutes later, then Murray had to push a fierce effort from Danny Tiatto behind at the near post.

Michael Kightly fell as he tried to convert from the tightest of angles after he had run on to a pass from Michael McIndoe and skipped past home keeper Conrad Logan, then a Jay Bothroyd shot on the turn was both high and wide of the target.

Wolves were now forcing City back and after a crossfield pass from Darren Potter had picked out Kightly, a defender hammered the winger's centre against a team-mate with the loose ball dropping to Keogh only for Logan to block at point blank range.

Seyi Olofinjana's shot was blocked and Johansson threw himself in the way of McIndoe's follow-up as Wolves continued to pile on the pressure.

But, midway through the half, Leicester should have increased their lead after Jody Craddock was penalised for a challenge on Matty Fryatt to the left of the Wolves box.

Shaun Newton's free-kick was nodded on by Stephen Hughes to Gareth McAuley who, from virtually under the bar, fired over.

It proved to be a costly miss for just three minutes later Wolves were level. McIndoe's corner had the home defence in all kinds of trouble and Neill Collins' header was cleared off the line but only as far as Olofinjana who lashed the ball into the roof of the net (first picture).

Within seconds of the restart, Logan was saving at the feet of Kightly but the Wolves man made no mistake when he put the visitors ahead in the 32nd minute.

McIndoe exchanged passes with Bothroyd before crossing to Kightly whose first-time shot was tipped up into the air by Logan. But the former Grays man collected the ball as it dropped and planted it into the empty net (second picture).

A 20-yard drive from Kightly swerved just the wrong side of the angle and at the other end Hume beat Murray but the referee ruled out the 'goal' indicating the City man had handled in controlling the ball.

Potter was booked for kicking the ball away after conceding a free-kick, and Tiatto for taking a free-kick too early, before Olofinjana was mkdenied a second goal by the woodwork.

Collins, Bothroyd and Keogh were all involved in a build up that ended when the Nigerian's shot clipped the bar and bounced clear.

Kisnorbo was yellow carded for a foul on Kightly and the half ended with Murray safely gathering a free-kick from former Wolves midfielder Newton.

Half-Time; City 1 Wolves 2

Four minutes after the restart, Keogh's cross cum shot struck the bar and then the striker drove into the side netting after taking a pass from Kightly.

In the 53rd minute Wolves stretched their lead when Keogh beat the offside trap and cut in from the right before firing a low centre that McAuley turned into his own net.

Shortly after Jackie McNamara was booked for a foul on Darren Kenton, he was replaced by Mark Little.

It took a well timed tackle from Craddock to prevent Hume having a clear sight of goal, then Stephen Ward was sent on in place of Bothroyd.

ak  In the 62nd minute, Leicester were reduced to ten men after Kisnorbo's late challenge on Keogh resulted in a second yellow card.

Three more bookings following in quick succession, Newton for a reckless challenge on McIndoe and Hume and Craddock both for dissent.

Fryatt shot over the bar from 10-yards out and a long-range effort from Tiatto glanced off the top of the net as City tried to get back into the game.

But Wolves were soon back on the attack and Logan had to race from his area and save with his legs after Keogh chased a long clearance and attempted to slide the ball past the keeper.

Potter found Little wide on the left and the defender pushed the ball into the box where Ward helped it on to Kightly who was inches wide of the far post even though he hadn't connected properly.

Five minutes from time, Johansson fouled Ward who was about to capitalise on some woeful defending and Keogh easily beat Logan from the spot for Wolves' first penalty success of the season (third picture).

Johansson was booked for the foul and, in stoppage time, McAuley's miserable afternoon was complete when he was yellow carded for a trip on Collins.

Seconds before the end, McIndoe raced clear and squared the ball to Kightly whose low shot was kept out by the Logan.
