Ipswich Town 1 (Richards-pen 60)
Wolves 1 (Cameron 51)
A debatable penalty decision and wasted chances meant that Wolves had to be satisfied with just a single point from their trip to Ipswich's Portman Road.
Colin Cameron had fired the Molineux men into a 51st minute lead but Matt Richards levelled matters from the spot shortly afterwards.
Wanderers dominated the closing stages and missed three excellent chances to grab a much needed win.
Glenn Hoddle made just one change to his starting line-up with Seol returning in place of Darren Anderton who was named as a substitute.
Wolves kicked-off and, after a second minute corner from Lee Naylor had been cleared, Cameron set up another attack and from Naylor's centre Vio Ganea helped the ball on to George Ndah who was crowded out by three defenders as he tried to get a shot in.
But with five minutes gone Town were inches away from taking the lead. Jim Magilton floated a free-kick into the Wolves box and Richard Naylor's flick was just wide of the far post.
Tom Huddlestone's foul on Darren Currie led to an Ipswich free-kick 25-yards out. Currie took the kick himself curling the ball just wide. Currie then tested Stefan Postma with a first-time shot following a Gavin Williams centre.
Williams went into the book after he had fouled Naylor, then Postma had to dive full length to prevent an own-goal from Huddlestone who got his head to a Currie cross but succeeded only in turning the ball towards his own net.
Mark Kennedy fired over the bar from just outside the box after a 20-yard run and then Ganea beat Jason De Vos as he ran in along the touchline only to slip as he was about to pull the ball back for Ndah and Ganea.
With 34 minutes gone Ganea worked himself into a shooting position and although his shot had both power and direction, it hit Richard Naylor and ran
out for a corner.
Huddlestone was the next to try his luck but his shot flew straight into the arms of Town keeper Lewis Price after Ganea had flicked on a centre from Seol.
Then, with virtually the last kick of the half, Sito Castro thumped a low cross through the heart of the Wolves goalmouth but the ball went through and behind with no-one able to apply the finishing touch for the home team.
Half-Time: Town 0 Wolves 0
Huddlestone and Ndah didn't reappear following the interval and they were replaced by Anderton and Leon Clarke respectively.
Six minutes into the half, Wolves moved into the lead. Clarke slipped a short pass to Cameron who unleashed a shot from 25-yards that hit De Vos and looped over Price.
The Town keeper was soon in action again as he cut out a low cross from Seol whilst Gabor Gyepes had to head clear a centre from Currie at the other end.
The home side made a double substitution in the 53rd minute with former Molineux striker Adam Proudlock coming on for Dean Bowditch and Kevin Horlock for Magilton.
Ipswich pulled level on the hour mark with a controversial penalty. Gyepes looked to have won the ball cleanly when he tackled Nick Forster. Heated protests were to no avail and Richards blasted the spot kick past Postma who got a hand to the ball but couldn't keep it out.
Horlock was shown the yellow card after a late challenge on Cameron and the resulting free-kick, taken from 40-yards out by Naylor, was too high to trouble Price.
Most of the action was taking place in the Ipswich half of the field and Clarke fired into the side netting after a long throw from Naylor bounced at the striker's feet.
With ten minutes remaining Seol sent a low cross through to Kennedy who squared a pass to Anderton only for the midfielder to shoot wide of the mark.
A driven cross from Anderton was too far in front of both Ganea and Clarke and then Seol missed from close range after another Naylor long throw and dropped at his feet.
Just before the end, Ganea headed wide from a Seol centre and, for Wolves, for the third consecutive time, the game finished all square.
