Molineux's first ever Asian Bridal Fair has been hailed a 'great success.' The event, held last Sunday afternoon, showcased a range of top suppliers and fashion houses catering for all aspects of an Asian wedding. The day's activities included three catwalk shows, demonstrations of Mendhi art and a Wolves in the Community Kids' Soccer school, which took place on the hallowed Molineux turf.

Over 1000 people attended throughout the day. One couple travelled from as far away as Scotland.

Rita Purewal, Organiser and Wolves FC's Financial Controller, said: "The event was a huge success attracting over 1000 people from the Asian community, many of whom had never been to the ground before or were even aware of the conference and banqueting facilities we have here at the club."

Harvi Heer from Treasured Portraits, an exhibitor at the event, said: "We have never been to such a well organised and hospitable exhibition. The response was unreal and we managed to have a good day of business."
