Birmingham Mirshires - Official Community Sponsors
Birmingham Midshires
Wolves in the Community Official Sponsors
As Wolves' first official community partner, Birmingham Midshires will support the club's range of educational, health awareness and anti-crime programmes. The additional funds will also assist with expansion in a number of areas, such as disabled sports and anti-racism initiatives.
Birmingham Midshires has supported the award-winning Dusk, Twilight and Midnight Leagues for the last six years. The scheme encourages children and young adults to play football during the evening hours, when the majority of crime and anti-social behaviour occurs.
Chief executive Jez Moxey says: "This is the first time Wolves has secured a title sponsor for its Community programme and we are delighted that Birmingham Midshires has agreed to support our efforts in the community by providing £200,000 over three years. This money will enable us to develop a wider range of football related programmes designed for the benefit of the local community.
Nigel Stockton, managing director of Birmingham Midshires, adds: "We are committed to investing in our local communities. Wolves and BM have a proven track record at working together to develop initiatives, which make a real difference to our community.
"I'm delighted that this long-term agreement will result in the expansion of a number of schemes. On behalf of all of Birmingham Midshires' people, we are very proud to be involved in such a worthwhile community partnership."
